Role of the Financial Manager
Financial Managers oversee the preparation of financial reports, execute cash management strategies, and direct an organisation's investment activities. The Financial Manager may be responsible for the financial control of a total business or a segment of a business such as a department, function or project depending on experience and qualifications. Financial Managers are also known as Accounts Managers, Accountants and Financial Controllers.
Career Development
Finance Managers often commence their career as entry level accountants with responsibility for small sections of an organisation's business processes. With increased exposure to broader business activities individuals may develop to manager large projects and business functions which involve larger teams and cash resources.
